A program on human ethics and moral values held at LKC

An impressive program concerning the human ethics and moral values was held at Lyallpur Khalsa College which was participated in by S. Ajaib Singh Chattha, Chairman, World Punjabi Conference, Canada . College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Joint Secretary S. Jaspal Singh Waraich welcomed S. Chattha to the college. On this occasion, the modern life style and its disadvantages were discussed specially in contrast to the joint family system of the yesteryears. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra recalled the joint family atmosphere of the past where in children were always learning one thing or the other from their elderly family members. This system was also remembered as the basis for the human values inculcation among the youth and the disappearance of this system has led to a considerable fall in the morality levels of modern society. He also lauded such efforts as this program for the awakening of the society. S. Ajaib Singh Chattha also presented a book edited by Arvinder Kaur on the same theme to S. Jaspal Singh Waraich and informed this book is the third in the list of such efforts in the concerned subject. Also present on the occasion were Santokh Singh Sandhu (General Secretary, World Punjabi Conference), Balwinder Singh Chattha (USA) and Ravinder Sharma (Program Officer, North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala ).
