A special program was organized by the Science Departments of Lyallpur Khalsa College today as a part of National Science Day Celebrations carrying the theme of ‘Communicating Science for all’. The program dedicated to eminent scientific personality Dr. CV Raman, saw the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Nareshpal Singh Saini, Head, Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsarand he was duly welcomed to the college with a bouquet of flowers by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra along with all the Heads of the Science Departments of the college. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra discussed the potential of scientific outlets in the modern age of innovations and technology, adding that there was a need to encourage advanced scientific research so as to take full benefit of the discipline as laid out so efficiently by Dr. CV Raman. In his address, Dr. Nareshpal Singh Saini spoke about the various inventions put forth by Dr. CV Raman based on his deep understanding of the subject and also informed about the scope of further studies and research  in the field of science at both, National and International levels. The program saw a vigorous participation of around 150 students from the college. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Narveer Singh, Head Department of Physics while the stage was conducted by Dr. Geetanjali Moudgil. The occasion was also marked by the presence of Prof. Arunjit Kaur, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Dr. Bhupinderpal Singh, Dr. Navjot Kaur, Dr. Amanpret Kaur Sandhu, Dr. Amritpal Singh, Dr. Ranju Mahajan, Dr. Navneet Arora, Dr. Upma Arora, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Dr. Harshveer Arora, Dr. Harjinder Kaur, Prof. Ravneet Kaur, Dr. Haminder Singh, Dr. Surbjit Singh, Dr. Mandeep Kaur and all the faculty members of the Science departments.
