550 Years Celebrations @ IT ’held at LKC
PG Department of Computer Science & IT, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organised ‘550 years celebration @ IT’, a special event dedicated to 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. During the event, eight competitions were organised for the students, the theme of the event was based on the life and teaching of Guru Nank Dev Ji. The competitions included Documentary/Film Production, Poetical Recitation, Turban Show, Photography, Web search, Quiz, Gurbani Kanth & PPT presentation. A Total of 300 students of the college participated in the event. Head of Department Dr. Manohar Singh along with senior faculty members gave a floral welcome to the chief guest for the day, Principal of the college, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Samra motivated the students to adopt the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in our daily lives to lead a simple and virtuous life. Later, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and HOD Dr. Manohar Singh along with senior faculty members presented prizes to the winners during the valedictory function. Head of the Department Dr. Manohar Singh thanked the chief guest of the day and congratulated the winners. Dr. Daljeet Kaur & Prof. Karamjit Kaur beautifully conducted the stage during the whole event. During the occasion Prof. Sanjeev Anand, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Dr. Baldev Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Mandeep Bhatia, Prof. Gagandeep Singh & Prof. Ratnakar were also present.
