The English Literary Society of the Post Graduate Department of English organized a special program Teacher’s Day. Chief Guest for the program, College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra was duly given a flowery welcome by Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Head, PG Department of English and Prof. Manju Joshi, President English Literary Society. This annual flagship event organized by the Department of English turned out to be a college level mega-program that saw the active participation of over 100 students in various events on one single stage. Competitions like Story Writing, Slogan Writing, Poster Making and various other colorful presentations added variety of colors and flavor into the proceedings whilst the enactment of the play, The Umbrella provided a literary touch to the program. Former students of the department also graced the program and recalled their memories as a part of the annual get-together of the Talib Alumni Association under the tutelage of PG Department of English. After the completion of competitive events the winning students judged by the experienced panel of judges, were given prizes and souvenirs by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Prof. Jasreen Kaur. The program was also beheld by respected Heads of various Departments and staff members of the college. To formally conclude the program, vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Manju Joshi, President English Literary Society. Faculty members namely Prof. (Dr.) Balraj Kaur, Prof. Hariom Verma, Prof. Ahuja Sandeep, Prof. (Dr) Manmeet Sodhi, Prof. (Dr.) Kanchan Mehta, Prof. Gitanjali Mahajan, Prof. Satpal Singh, Prof. Ankit Sondhi, Prof. Rohit Chatrath and Prof. Anjali Yadav were also an active part of this vivacious occasion.
