A special program on the national level upholding of the National Nutrition Month was organized by the Grievance Redressal Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College. Chief Guest of the function, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra was duly welcomed by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Convenor Grievance Redressal Cell along with other members with a bouquet of flowers. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra emphasized that the happiness of the nation lies on the health of its citizens who must be supported by a balanced diet which is constantly becoming an area of immense research and exploration. Dr. Samra called on the students to spread much needed awareness in this regard among our society whilst congratulating the Grievance Redressal Cell and its members on such a knowledgeable program and encouraged them to have more such sessions so that the students and society on the whole would be inculcated with deep knowledge on diets. Dietician Meenu Wahi, Dr. Raju Sharma and Dr. Jaswant Kaur also shared their expertise on the subject. The program also comprised of a plant exhibition, free health check up and cooking competition without the usage of fire which attracted a large number of students as participants. Representing the Social Sensitisation Club of the college, Prof. Amita Shahid and Prof. Ubique conducted a slogan writing and poster making competition on the main theme of the day. Notable personalities present on the occasion were Prof. Jasreen Kaur (Dean Academics Affairs), Prof. Manpreet Kaur (Registrar), Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Dr. Suman Chopra, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Dr. Gopal Singh Buttar, Dr. Tarsem Singh,  Dr. Navjot Kaur, Dr. Patwant Atwal, Dr. Ravneet Bains, Dr. Amandeep Kaur.
