The Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a special program to honour overseas Punjabi Literary personality Mr. Piara Singh Kuddowal. He was duly welcomed the college by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra with a bouquet of flowers. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Samra lauded the services rendered by Mr. Kuddowal to the expansion of Punjabi language and honoured him on behalf of the institution. Prof. (Dr) Gopal Singh Buttar, Head, Post Graduate Department of Punjabi informed the audience about the contribution made by Mr. Kuddowal along with his entire family to the cause of Punjabi language by virtue of his radio and TV presentations in Canada. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kuddowal shared his family’s commitment towards the cause of Punjabi Language and Culture. He also spoke about the work being done in the same direction by his wife and eminent writer Surjit Kaur and his son Fateh in the field of music from their base in Brampton, Canada whilst also mentioning Mr. Ajaib Singh Sidhu and Gurmeet Singh Sidhu from Surrey, as his companions towards the same cause. The program was managed from the stage by Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon.
