Gurupurab Celebrations at Lyallpur Khalsa College
The students and staff at Lyallpur Khalsa College paid their obeisance on the occasion of Sehaj Path held in the college Gurudwara today as a part of Gurupurab celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh. The events of the day included the recitation of Kirtan by Bhai Kuldip Singh, Hazuri Ragi Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur along with Mr Jagdeep Singh Shergill, Member Governing Council and Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra honoured the Ragis with Siropaos. On the occasion, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that the teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh were relevant in all ages and humanity could learn values like faith, courage, duty and sacrifice from the life of the great Guru as the same period was punctuated with unparalleled sacrifices for the safety of this nation. Mr Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary Governing Council), Dr Navjot (Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women), Dr Daljit Kaur, Principal KCL Institute of Law along with staff and students of the KCL institutes were also a part of the devotees in the entirety of the program. The stage was managed by Dr Harjinder Singh. Following the traditions, Guru ka Langar was served to one and all to conclude the program.
