Assistant Professor

Dr. Gobind Ram did his M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and Ph.D. in Biotechnology. He did Major research project entitled “In Silico drug designing for Neuroblastoma” in his post-graduation and his Ph.D. thesis was entitled as “Identification and Characterization of Ligand(s) as Drug Candidate for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD)”. He has supervised 40 research projects of M.Sc. Biotechnology class.

    • First prize in poster/oral presentation (veena puri, Gobind Ram) entitled ‘Bioinformatics analysis of novel hypothetical protein from Escherichia coli o157:h7’ in 9th Chandigarh science congress CHASCON 2015   held  at  Punjab university Chandigarh in collaboration with IMTECH, CSIO, PGIMER, IISER, NABI, NIPER and INST from  25th to 27th 2015.
    • Second prize in poster/oral presentation (Sharry Bangar and Gobind Ram) entitled ‘In Silico Analysis and Drug Designing for Colorectal Cancer’ in Chandigarh Science Congress CHASCON-2014 held at Punjab University Chandigarh from 26th – 28th Feb 2014.

    • Acted as a Resource Person in Hands on Training on Bioinformatics: Approaches for Data Analysis and Research held on 24th March 2022 at D.A.V. College, Jalandhar.
    • Acted as a Resource Person in four days DBT sponsored National Workshop on “Applications of In Silico analysis tools in plant stress biology” from 13th -16th November, 2017 held at Department of Biotechnology, Lyallpur Khalsa college Jalandhar.
