N.S.S

The NSS Moto ‘Not Me But You’ expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for service, an appreciation of another person’s point of view and consideration for the fellow human beings. National Service Scheme, an Indian government sponsored public service program, was launched in Mahatma Gandhi’s birth century year 1969 in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the personality development of the students through community services. Its aim is to inculcate the sense of social welfare in the students, the feeling to provide service to the society without any bias, and thereby act as an instrument for national integration. Its activity forum includes national integration, tree plantation, shramdaan, adventure programs, blood donation, immunization, conservation of natural resources etc.
